Museum of the Mind arose from the works I made in 2015. It comes from the same ground.
My fascination for transiency is shown as well as our human desire to archive our history.
I am fascinated by museums of natural history because it shows us our origin, where we came from. Evolution, it is miraculous. Just the fact that YOU exist, that you are alive, reading this text and looking at my images at this certain moment. So much could have gone wrong, but it didn’t! Because you are here: You are the winning lot from the lottery of existence!
In a museum of natural history we come in touch with this miraculous feeling.
But it also shows something that is so typical human: We attempt to get a grip on our history.
We are trying to keep something with us that is already gone. By doing that, we are showing the transiency but at the same time we are denying it. Learn More
