Broken Space / Gebroken Ruimte

In this work, made in 2015, I dived deep in my unconscious. In the deep layers I discovered these immense worlds. I saw black holes, pulling gravity and endless landscapes. I attempted to work with universal feelings, like the fundamental loneliness and I tried to find images that included these themes. We all have the tendency to flight from the heaviness of life. Are we afraid to see our own mortality? Or are we lost in the feeling of the endlessness of the universe that can make us feel small and void? The moment I made this work I was searching. Searching for the base in myself. I had to get to know my own depths to grow further.
